Extends from sternum and clavicle to mastoid process of temporal bone; flex head onto chest; rotate head

Extends from base of skull to vertebrae; extend and rotate head

Large diamond shaped muscle on back; elevates, depresses and adducts scapula; extends head

Group of muscles which lie interior to the hyoid; depresses hyoid during swallowing and speaking
